Worship and Creative Arts
Music is one of many types of worship we use
to know Christ and in turn, make Christ known.
We use multiple styles of music to help each worshiper express God’s glory. We see Paul talking about different styles of music to the Ephesians – “singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, and making music to the Lord in your hearts” (Eph 5:19). We select the music each Sunday based on its soundness of theology and doctrine. Doing
so points us back to the reason we sing – God is worthy of our worship.
Music Activities
CHOIR
The Choir ministry allows members to express their worship to God through music, and to serve as an aid for congregational singing. Choir rehearsals are held on Sundays at 5:00p.m. and are generally an hour long. Due to COVID-19 restrictions,
the choir is temporarily postponed.
SPECIAL MUSIC
Individuals and small groups periodically perform songs as a personal expression
and extension of the worship service.
If you are interested in singing a special, contact Sarah to get it scheduled.
PRAISE TEAM
The praise team is made up of church members and choir members to help lead worship on Sunday mornings. Members of the praise team are expected to be church members who demonstrate the fruit of
the Spirit in their lives.
